What Is TMJD?

Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJD) occurs when the delicate balance between your teeth,  jaw muscles, joints, and nerves is disrupted. Misalignment or dysfunction can lead to pain,  discomfort, and long-term dental issues. 

Treatment options may include: 

  • Splint therapy 
  • Behavioral modification and biofeedback 
  • Preventive and Self-care education 
  • Palliative care 
  • Treatment in conjunction with specialists (e.g. orthodontist, oral surgeon, physical  therapist, chiropractor, etc.)
