Kathy – Bookkeeper and Receptionist
Kathy was born and raised in Berkeley. California. She graduated from Chabot College in 1989 with her Dental Assisting license and has since been with the same dental practice—first with Dr. Sullivan until 1994, then with Dr. Yip when she took over the practice. Kathy serves as both RDA and Bookkeeper for Dr. Yip. She is a dedicated, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, caring, and empathetic individual. She is a true asset to the practice and Dr. Yip’s “right hand” person. Kathy really enjoys music, especially from her favorite musician, singer, songwriter, Prince. She is his number one fan and had never missed a show or concert. She also enjoys clothes and shoe shopping.
Lai – Schedule and Financial Coordinator
Lai, a native of Oakland, California, grew up in the city and has always called it home. Initially, she worked as a pharmacy cashier for a decade after completing high school, but later transitioned into the dental field. In her free time, Lai enjoys discovering new dining establishments and embarking on travel adventures. Balancing her passion for work and family, she devotes most of her time to her profession and cherishing moments with her two children.
Janet – Registered Dental Assistant and Back Office Supervisor
Janet grew up in the Bay Area. She graduated from Bryman Corinthian College in San Francisco as a Registered Dental Assistant in 1998 and has worked with Dr. Yip for more than 15 years. Janet is very knowledgeable, caring, friendly, and an integral part of our team. She takes great pride in helping with preventive care, patient education, and taking care of the back office. She enjoys the caring and professional office environment, her friendly coworkers, and tending to each patient’s specific needs. When not working, Janet enjoys nature, writing, painting, and helping people.
Jessica – Accounts Receivable and Insurance Manager
Jessica grew up in the Bay Area. She brings a unique blend of expertise and compassion to her role as an accountant. With ten years of experience, she specializes in dental claims, using her knowledge to ensure accurate and efficient processing. Known for being caring, friendly, and a vital part of the team, Jessica is always ready to lend a hand. Her passion for helping others extends beyond accounting—she’s also a certified EMT and firefighter, always ready to respond when needed.
Saadia – Registered Dental Hygienist
Saadia was born and raised in North Africa, in the vibrant country of Algeria, where she spent her early years surrounded by a rich cultural heritage and diverse landscapes. From a young age, Saadia had a natural curiosity about science and a desire to help others, which led her to pursue a career in dentistry. She attended dental school in Algeria, where she dedicated herself to her studies and honed her skills. After years of hard work, she graduated in 2013 as a general dentist, ready to embark on a professional journey focused on improving oral health and making a positive impact on her community.
In 2017, Saadia made the bold decision to move to the United States in pursuit of further education and new opportunities. After settling in the U.S., she enrolled at Chabot College, where she studied dental hygiene—a field that combined her passion for dentistry with her desire to provide comprehensive care to patients. She graduated as a dental hygienist, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge from her previous experience as a dentist, along with a deep appreciation for the role of preventive care in oral health.
